Filing Deadline – Individuals
Federal Form 1040 and most state
individual income tax returns are due
by April 15th in any given
year. Individuals can apply for an
automatic extension of time to file
income tax return. The Federal
Government has extended the period of
time that they grant the automatic
extension to six-months (October 15th)
beginning with the 2005 return filing
season. Individuals should check their
state instructions before assuming
that their state return is extended
for the same period of time as the
federal return.
Quarterly estimated tax payments
are due April 15th, June 15th,
September 15th and January
15th.
